Suspect Human Trafficking?

Means: Uses force, fraud, or coercion.

Purpose: To exploit and profit from a person’s labor or services.

Exception: When a person younger than 18 is used to perform a commercial sex act, it is a crime regardless of whether there is any force, fraud, or coercion involved. Report it to the national human trafficking hotline website...

They will want to know...

  • Do you know the person you are calling about and their situation?

  • What did you see or what did they tell you?

  • Do you still have contact with them?

  • What specifically has your "friend" told you that indicates they are being exploited, or that they were recruited, harbored, transported, transferred, or received by means of force, coercion or fraud?

If your "friend" is able and willing to call or text the hotline, that is even better.
